Glad you'll be spending more time on NaNoWriMo.
Last summer I worked for the university legal clinic doing work that I loved...but the boss was a total jerk... she absolutely persecuted many of the younger inexperienced staff (especially my partner at work, who happened to be gay)... 12 of the 19 staff took a complaint to the Dean of the Law school... and most of us resigned at that point... I have sworn that I will never work for a jerk again (I am 41 now) and I am sticking to it even in my articles this year - I hand picked my two principals, and although I am getting paid very little money, I love what I am doing, and I can stay home with my son when needed... its very flexible... good luck!
