...and Mendel is his tutor




A learned to do genetics squares today. He likes to use the word "phenotype" a lot. As in, "Napoleon's eyes are phenotyped for amber. But their genotype could include blue."

Very cute! I can't believe I am saying that for a young teen - but it is cool to see fairly deep concepts click for them in the events and things of their everyday world.

I guessing that if he's thrilled with genetics and loves animals, that some ethology too, might rock his world.

Genetics and alleles were my favorite! And the matrices for determining dominant and recessive traits. . . Love that stuff!
