After careful scrutiny, it is our understanding that the student was given credit for the answer, but the board of education has warned math teachers to be more explicit in the future.

Sadly enough, I had to think about it before understanding what was wrong with the answer given. Usually these things say something more like, "Solve for x."
Or "Find the value of x." And that's why it's probably a hoax, the kind of thing that used to be called "fax humor."
"Answer on a blonde's Geometry test" might have been a giveaway, anonymous...!
