Theater-going isn't normally cheap in New York City, but Theater Extras is an organization can help you go to a show every week with very little money. They also support the arts by using a percentage of your membership fee (as low as $99 annually) to support Fiorello LaGuardia High School (the "Fame" school), Broadway Cares, and Equity Fights AIDS. The catch? You will not gain access to their Broadway or Off-Broadway or Off-Off-Broadway shows list until you become a member.So, take your kids to the theater. Run along now.
